JGF Patron appointed

Naushad Merali EBS, has been appointed Patron of JGF.

He is chairman of the Sameer Group of Companies whose trading activities range from manufacture, finance, telecommunications and agriculture throughout Kenya and the East African region.

Through his philanthropic support, he has assisted numerous charitable organisations and has developed health, education and welfare projects for several communities in the country.

The Sameer Group has also played a major role in the promotion of sport and especially athletics.

Mr Merali’s appointment as JGF’s Patron is a natural one, as he believes fully in supporting youth sports, recognising their potential.

Recently, the Sameer Group has become involved in golf sponsorship with the establishment of a local professional golf circuit.

A keen golfer, Mr Merali and his son Sameer, play regularly.
