David
Jones, one of three past champions of the Kenya Open who participated
in the Sameer Kenya Open in Feb-March,conducted a junior golf
clinicat Muthaiga Golf Club prior to the championships.
David (pictured below) is also a board member of the European
PGA. Organised under the auspices of the Junior GolfFoundation,
16 boys and girlswere selected.
This
is the first time anexclusive junior golf clinicwas conducted
during the Kenya Open.
The chairman of Junior Golf Foundation, Eddie Njoroge said
“The Kenya Open is the biggestgolfing event in the countryand
we want to inspire the youth to reach for the stars.
The offer by David Jones to conduct a clinic is anindication
that our young golfers are being taken seriously.”
